Robot Mower No Loop Signal: Causes, Fixes, and Warnings

“No loop signal” is a boundary-signal problem to investigate, not confirmation that the whole perimeter wire needs replacing. On a wire-guided mower, begin with the exact message, station power and the indicator meaning for that model. Then inspect connections and narrow down the affected part of the installation.

Reviewed September 28, 2026. This guide develops official Husqvarna Automower and Worx Landroid Classic support procedures. We have not performed these repairs ourselves. The procedures below concern physical boundary-wire installations.

Before disturbing the installation

Photograph the charging-station connections, labels and indicator. Note whether the problem began after edging, aeration, a moved station, winter storage or a wire repair. Retrieve your installation sketch if you have one. This preserves the original connection layout and gives the first inspection a useful starting point.

Switch off the mower and follow its manual’s electrical-isolation instructions before touching wiring. Leave mains wiring and power-supply repairs to qualified service. A cracked cable, damaged connector or exposed conductor needs attention before another mowing test.

Choose the first branch

Observation Next check What it does not establish
The station indicator is off Use the manufacturer’s power-supply branch before digging for wire. An unlit station does not locate a perimeter break.
A documented loop-fault indication Inspect the station’s boundary connections and known splices, then use the maker’s isolation method. The light alone does not identify a damaged section.
The station appears normal but the mower reports a missing wire Check the model-specific procedure for a weak or damaged loop. A normal-looking light is not a complete test of the installation.
The error changes with location or weather Record the conditions and inspect the corresponding route, connectors and recent work. A correlation does not confirm a failed receiver or board.

Automower: use the specific light pattern

In Husqvarna’s Automower loop-signal guidance, a flashing blue station light directs attention to an incomplete loop, including damaged wire or poor connections. A steady blue light has a different troubleshooting branch. These meanings belong to the Automower guidance; do not transfer them to another brand.

Start with accessible boundary and guide connections and existing splices. If these checks do not identify the fault, Husqvarna’s wire-break procedure uses the guide-wire junctions to divide the installation into sections. Its illustrated connector-swapping method has prerequisites, including switching off ECO mode. Use the actual diagram and terminal labels for your model rather than guessing which terminals to bridge.

The same official procedure describes a wire-break detector and explains that partial damage can be harder for it to find. A continuity beep or one successful test therefore should not be treated as proof that every connection will remain reliable. If the documented checks leave the fault unresolved, ask the dealer to test the installation before ordering a station board.

Landroid Classic: a small test loop can isolate the lawn wiring

Worx specifically addresses a missing-wire error despite a green charging-base light. Its Landroid Classic test uses a separate boundary wire about 3 m / 10 ft long, laid as a circular loop around the mower and base. If the error clears in that setup, Worx directs further inspection toward the original lawn loop.

Use that test only for the supported wired product, with the manufacturer instructions open. Keep the mower stopped while arranging the loop, preserve the original terminal labels, and restore the full installation afterward. The temporary loop is a diagnostic setup, not a replacement safety boundary for unattended mowing. If the error stays, report that outcome; it does not identify a particular electronic part.

Repair an identified fault, then prove the full route works

Once damage is located, use the wire and coupler type specified by the manufacturer and its illustrated joining procedure. Take a photo and add the repair location to your installation sketch. A repair record makes a later fault easier to distinguish from the original one.

After restoring every original connection, check the station indication and run the manufacturer’s installation verification. Husqvarna provides a test for wire following and docking. Watch the repaired area and the return to the station from a safe distance. Do not regard a cleared message at the base as verification of the entire lawn.

What to send if the error remains

Include the model, full message, station indicator, wiring photographs, a sketch of guide junctions and repairs, and the result of the exact isolation test used. Mention whether the fault is constant or intermittent. This is more useful than describing the problem as “bad motherboard.” For messages about satellite positioning rather than physical wire, start with the model-specific error guide.
